Israel Part 3

Here are some more pics from the day. Didnt feel too great. We visited less biblical sites today as we did yesterday and will tomorrow. Still pretty cool though.

Mt. Tabor. Believed to be the spot of the Transfiguration.

Jordan River bank. This was really a dissappointing site. Its been so commercialized, it kinda lots its uniqueness. Many of the other places are not that way. But it was fun to see.

Me and Barry in Acco overlooking Mediterranean Sea.

Coke in Arabic! Scary!

1st Century Road in Zippori, a town not mentioned in the Bible, but perhaps where Mary’s parents were from. This is located very close to Nazareth and sustained a high number of people (perhaps 100,000!). Jesus would have definitely travelled here to do work with Joseph. It is likely he walked on these roads where I am sitting! If you look closely you can see the Roman chariots wheel ruts in the pavement!

1st Century cave.

A stray dog in Nazareth. She was really friendly and reminded me of a little brown Dachshund I know!

Mustard seed in Nazareth.

Sunrise over the Sea of Galilee! Nothing like it!
